This summer, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will return to the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House (Ford House) for a two-concert series conducted by Aram Demirjian.

The performances will take place on July 7 and 8, each ending with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. While the orchestra will perform on the grounds of the Grosse Pointe Shores estate later in the evening, the grounds of the Ford House will open at 6 p.m. so that visitors can come early to explore.

The concert on Friday, July 7, will feature selections from "The Wizard of Oz," "Gladiator," "Star Wars," and other Hollywood films, and will also include a performance from featured soloist Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy (Alan and Marianne Shapero/Shapero Foundation Chair).

Saturday’s show will focus on classical repertoire, including favorites by Haydn, Tchaikovsky, and others. The featured soloist of the evening will be Hunter Eberly (Lee and Floy Barthel Chair).
