Publishing / Teaching Resources: Our well-respected music education curriculum at Bowling Green State University is based in scholarship, musicianship and teaching, and is taught by the finest faculty in the field. A variety of teaching experiences are available through cooperative lab schools and community service learning programs under the direct guidance of faculty, leading up to the student teaching experience.
Festivals, Events & Tours: The annual BGSU New Music Festival features performances of new music and multimedia compositions, visual arts presentations, lectures, seminars and related sessions. A major cultural resource in northwest Ohio, the College of Musical Arts annually sponsors over 500 musical events, all open to the public.
Camps & Workshops: The BGSU Summer Music Institute offers week-long annual camps in June for middle school and high school musicians.
Colleges, Universities & Conservatories: As one of the country's outstanding comprehensive music programs, we prepare students to be educators, performers, and scholars on an international level, and serve our communities through vibrant outreach.
Music Compositions & Arranging: The college and its faculty have established a national leadership role in the development and presentation of new music. Part of the New Music from Bowling Green initiative is a radio series devoted to living composers and their works. Produced by WGTE Public Media and hosted by Brad Cresswell, Living American Composers: New Music from Bowling Green draws primarily on live concert recordings from the BGSU New Music Festival and Music at the Forefront concert series, as well as commercial recordings featuring the Bowling Green Philharmonia and the BGSU Wind Symphony.

    Festivals, Events & Tours: Soak up a weekend of jazz in a seaside paradise. Centrum features more than 30 internationally-known performers in new and unexpected pairings, hand-picked by Artistic Director John Clayton. Performances happen in the 1,200-seat McCurdy Pavilion in Fort Worden State Park and as well as in intimate venues downtown. Terell Stafford, Jeff Hamilton, Stefon Harris, Matt Wilson, Jazzmeia Horn, George Cables, Gary Smulyan, Kendrick Scott, Taylor Eigsti, Tamir Hendelman, Graham Dechter, Katie Thiroux, plus 20 more.
    Camps & Workshops: Open to instrumentalists and singers high-school age to adult. More than 200 participants divide into ensembles to focus on improvisational skills. Participants also attend master classes and performances given by more than 35 world-class musicians, all hand-picked by Artistic Director John Clayton. The week culminates in a series of faculty and participant concerts. Auditions are required.
