The first ever MUSICWOMEN Conference is now accepting proposals for its premier event in October of 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.The first ever MUSICWOMEN Conference is now accepting proposals for its premier event in October of 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The mission of the conference is to increase the profile of the presenting organizations that are dedicated to the promotion of the music of women, globally. Performers and panelists must be a member-in-good-standing of one of the presenting organizations. The group welcomes partnerships, submission of compositions to be performed, and papers to be presented.

Women in Jazz South Florida hosts the event along with South Florida Symphony, Women in Jazz Austin Texas, Instrumental Women Pasadena California, The Many Colors of a Woman Connecticut, and International Women in Jazz New York. Early registration of $250 runs from October 9 to January 8, 2013.
