The Kansas City Chorale (Charles Bruffy, conductor) won the 2013 Grammy Award in the category “Best Choral Performance” for their recording, Life & Breath: Choral Works By René Clausen.

The ensemble had been nominated for two Grammy Awards for the album. Released on Chandos Records, it was the first recording dedicated entirely to the music of René Clausen by a professional choir.

One of the most prolific choral composers of his time, René Clausen’s music is known by American choirs across the country.
