However, we would like your consideration in these difficult times to help support our efforts here at School Band & Orchestra to keep our information flowing and to provide you with a continuous stream of current and vital information when you need it the most.
It is with the utmost sincerity we ask you to consider supporting our efforts here with a small donation which will allow our staff the ability to keep these interesting stories about your chosen career coming to you in a consistent and timely basis. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. We at School Band & Orchestra wish nothing but the best for you, your school, your family and co-workers. We hope you continue to remain healthy during this most strenuous of times.
Advocacy is the art of building relationships. Over the past several years, my journey has provided me with some amazing opportunities to serve our profession in various capacities. Throughout my years of service, perhaps the most meaningful takeaway I have gleaned is the unbelievable potential impact that each of us must strengthen and support music education. We all possess a unique way of sharing our passion for music and unlocking its creative and expressive power for our students, as well as promoting its importance for every student in every school across the country. The list below captures some of the thoughts and ideas that I’ve encountered about advocacy, and it is meant to be a source of encouragement and inspiration as we all continue working to make a difference for students!
I hope some of these ideas resonate and you will take action to become a music education advocate and champion! Music education leaders from across the country will join together in Washington, D.C., on June 23 to advocate for music education as part of NAfME’s National Leadership Assembly Hill Day.
