Whether you’re a music educator, band or orchestral student, conductor or composer, timpani have been one of the most mystical and misunderstood percussion instruments ever encountered by most players. Yet, it can be heard professionally performed in every type of music, from 300-year old classical standard repertoire, to marches, Broadway, pops, Latin and even big band jazz.
The 2020 season will begin once again with the DCI Tour Premiere in the Motor City and end in the Circle City with DCI World Championships.

May is a month of intense preparation for drum corps from coast to coast. It’s the time of convergence for show designs and fundamental training. It’s the time when creativity and artistry bring concepts to life in incredible marching arts productions.
Weekend rehearsal camps are in full swing and spring training is just a month away. Drum Corps International ensembles all over the country are putting together incredible new productions for their upcoming summer tours, preparing to wow audiences at more than 100 live events at stadium venues across the country.
