Heil Sound’s PR 22 Dynamic Microphone
The new Heil PR 22 provides wide frequency range, low handling noise and the ability to handle +140 dB SPL for a wide range of professional applications. The PR 22 microphone is usable in extreme high sound pressure levels and immune to overload conditions, making it perfect for live vocal and instrument applications as well as a superb microphone for serious recording studios.
Exceptional performance is achieved by using the ideal combination of materials for the large 1 1/8′ diameter low mass diaphragm and a special mixture of neodymium, iron, and boron that gives the PR 22 the strongest magnet structure available. The PR 22 is supplied with a leatherette carrying case, a mic clip, and three metal screw-on grill screens (black, silver and gold).
Audio-Technica Microphones
Audio-Technica’s new AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone and AT2050 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone are large-diaphragm, side-address mics that join the AT2020, AT2010, AT2041SP, and AT2020 USB as members of Audio-Technica’s expanding 20 Series. The AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone is intended for a wide variety of miking applications, including overheads, acoustic instruments, and guitar cabinets; it features a large diaphragm for smooth, natural sound and low noise. The AT2050 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone is ideal for studio use and live sound productions with vocals, piano, strings, overheads, guitar amps, and more. It offers three switchable polar patterns: omni, cardioid, and figure-eight. Both microphones feature a switchable integral 80 Hz high-pass filter and a 10 dB pad. The high-pass position reduces the microphones’ sensitivity to popping in close vocal use. It also reduces the pickup of low-frequency ambient noise. Output from each microphone’s XLRM-type connector is low impedance (Lo-Z) balanced; each mic comes with a shock mount and a protective pouch.
