Without question, teaching – at any grade level – is among the most demanding of professions, requiring a level of intellectual and emotional involvement that can leave even the most resilient feeling the strain. As such, it’s not surprising that, for many elementary, middle-, and high school educators, the summer months are, more than anything else, a welcome break in the action. However, a large percentage continues teaching during summer vacation – either due to personal passion/interest, financial necessity, or a combination of both.
