Music For All National Festival

Outstanding student musicians from across the country are gathering in Indianapolis for the Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, from today through Saturday, March 17. Outstanding student musicians from across the country are gathering in Indianapolis for the Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, from today through Saturday, March 17.

The 2012 festival comprises the National Concert Band Festival, Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival, Middle School National Music Festival and three national honor ensembles: the Honor Band of America, the Jazz Band of America, and the Honor Orchestra of America. High school and middle school concert bands and percussion ensembles were selected by recorded audition to perform in concert at Clowes Memorial Hall and the Warren Performing Arts Center. These 27 ensembles will be evaluated by renowned music educators and participate in master classes and special events.

Invited concert bands, percussion ensembles and honor ensemble members for the 2012 Festival come from Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
