Maryland School Names Music Wing in Teacher’s Honor

Beltsville, Maryland’s Kathy Rodeffer is being honored this week for her 34 years in instrumental music education across Prince George’s County.Beltsville, Maryland’s Kathy Rodeffer is being honored this week for her 34 years in instrumental music education across Prince George’s County. The retiring teacher will have the music wing at the city of Landover’s Thomas G. Pullen K-8 Creative and Performing Arts School named in her honor. Rodeffer taught at several elementary schools since her start in education in 1978, including stops at Bowie’s Samuel Ogle Middle School and Temple Hills’ Crossland High School before coming to Pullen in 1989.She went on to become instrumental music supervisor for Prince George’s County Public Schools in 1998.
