Planning for Successful Auditions

Each spring, band directors across the nation begin preparations for hosting auditions for positions in their colorguard, dance line or majorette line. For some, auditions run very smoothly. Others, however, find preparations difficult and the auditions become a stressful time for the students, guest judges, and anxious parents, resulting in a negative experience for all concerned, especially the director.
