An NBC affiliate news program recently profiled two students from Knoxville-area’s Carter High School who have been invited to travel to New York to perform in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. An NBC affiliate news program recently profiled two students from Knoxville-area’s Carter High School who have been invited to travel to New York to perform in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Percussionist Ben McCurry and Andrew Chunn will both be participating in Macy’s Great American Marching Band after sending audition videos to the organization earlier this year. The Great American Marching Band typically includes over 180 musicians from across the country, along with a full compliment of flags and dancers.
