Accelerando LLC has announced that it has acquired the assets of the Estonia-based Music Education OÜ, a music education technology company that created the assessment and feedback technology called MatchMySoundTM (MMS).
MMS has been licensed to many leading music print publishers, schools and online education companies including Hal Leonard, School of Rock, MusicFirst, Piano Adventures, Furtados School of Music, and Achieve Music.
MMS technology provides the music student real-time assessment of their performance, along with visual feedback for actionable improvement. The technology is unique in offering assessment for multi-voiced instruments like guitar and piano, and outstanding assessment for single-note instruments like flute, trumpet, etc., and voice. The technology is compatible with IOS, Windows, and mobile platforms.
“Acquiring MMS will enable Accelerando to partner with other leaders in music education and integrate the technology into university learning management systems,” says Accelerando CEO David Smolover. “In addition, Accelerando is currently building branded apps for music education/entertainment companies. Accelerando has a vigorous development schedule in 2019 that includes a platform to help artists engage their fans through interacting with their music.” Smolover, a long-time leader in the music education field, adds that he was first introduced to MatchMySoundTM in 2014. “As soon as I saw it, I realized that they had created a game-changing technology that will revolutionize how people learn and interact with music.”
