The Florida State University Marching Chiefs Alumni (FSUMCA) announced its selection of Excelcia Music Publishing founder and president, Larry Clark, to be inducted into its Wall of Fame.
Clark will receive this award at the Homecoming festivities on October 26, 2019. 2019 marks the 50th anniversary celebration of the FSUMCA, which has a goal of reaching 1,000 members on the field in the alumni band.
The MCA Wall of Fame exists to honor individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Florida State University Band program. From the FSUMCA: “As part of our festivities, we will be honoring Marching Chiefs alumnus Larry Clark (1981-1985) as the 2019 Wall of Fame recipient. Be sure to register and help celebrate his amazing contributions in the music field!”
“I am truly honored to have even been chosen by the FSUMCA, along with all of the other amazing people that I have admired for my entire career who are already members of this prestigious group,” remarks Clark. “The Marching Chiefs have always held a special place in my heart. I loved every minute of the five years I was in the Chiefs and the organization has had a major impact on my life and career ever since. I hope that we can reach the goal of 1,000 alumni Chiefs at this milestone 50th anniversary of the FSUMCA!”
