The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) has welcomed five new full-time musicians to its ranks for this season.

The new musicians are: Sujin Lim, Acting Principal Second Violin (The Devereaux Family Chair); Jeremy Crosmer, cello; Christopher Hamlen, bass; Sarah Lewis, oboe (Maggie Miller Chair); and Jack Walters, clarinet (PVS Chemicals Inc./Jim and Ann Nicholson Chair).

Both Lim and Crosmer have already officially performed with DSO in July for the orchestra’s tour of Japan and China.

Hamlen, Lewis, and Walters, on the other hand, will all make their debuts this week at the seventh annual DTE Energy Foundation Community Concerts, which kicks off the DSO’s 2017-2018 season.
