The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami will launch “Frost Sessions: A Podcast About All Things Music” this fall.

The audio/visual podcast will be hosted by a variety of the school’s renowned faculty and alumni artists, along with innovative students, and will feature conversations with top music professionals who share their experiences and discuss what’s new and happening in the world of music, from performing and composing to technology, innovation, marketing, business, timely news, current events, and more.

“Our faculty and alumni are some of the most successful and forward-thinking professionals in music today,” said Shelton G. (Shelly) Berg, Dean of the Frost School of Music, who hosts the premiere episode. “I am thrilled we have created this platform to share and explore everything music, featuring insightful conversations with special guests, each of whom are some of the most accomplished in their respective fields.”

The first edition, “The History of Jazz with Dean Shelly Berg & Mark Ruffin,” will debut on October 6 at 12 p.m.  “The Art of Marketing an Album with Maria Schneider & Michael Dudley” will debut October 20.

Future episodes will feature world-renowned Frost faculty artists and alumni, such as Jon Secada, John Daversa, Jorge Mejia, Gerard Schwarz, Dafnis Prieto, Kim Josephson, and Dr. Frank Wayne Ragsdale.
