The GRAMMY Museum has announced the December schedule for COLLECTION:live, the GRAMMY Museum’s new official online streaming service. The service is available for $2.99/month or $29.99 a year, and proceeds benefit the Museum’s music education initiatives and help keep the Museum’s mission alive while the physical location remains closed due to COVID-19.
The December 3 program will feature Touché Amoré, music biographer Peter Guralnick, Alanis Morissette, Diablo Cody, Tom Kitt, and the Original Jagged Little Pill Broadway Cast. This edition will also offer “Celebrating 100 Years of Charlie Parker,” featuring a conversation with Dave Chisholm, Chuck Haddix, Bobby Watson, and Christian McBride.
The December 17 program includes “Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Asleep At The Wheel featuring Ray Benson,” as well as appearances by Andrew Bird, Bettye LaVette with producer Steve Jordan, MisterWives, and G.E. Smith.
In addition, the GRAMMY Museum will host a livestream event, “Catching Up With Chris Hillman,” on December 9 at 4 p.m. EST. Tickets are $10 and available here.
The Museum’s “Spotlight Saturdays Series Takeover By Motown Records” will also take place throughout the month, featuring Joy Denalane (December 5), Chaz French (December 12), Asiahn (December 19), and NJOMZA (December 26).
