KRUTZ, Inc. in Kansas City has launched Global Strings Alliance, an online platform to unite and empower strings teachers, students, and parents with free, trusted resources, in response to the new reality of distance learning.
“No strings teacher, student, or parent should feel alone or overwhelmed, especially during challenging times” says company founder, Anton Krutz.
A combination of website, Facebook group, and YouTube channel, GSA’s goal is to bring together trustworthy resources for teachers, students, and parents, who are all dealing with learning music and playing an instrument remotely for the first time. String teachers are joining the Global Strings Alliance Facebook group to share concerns, ask questions, and to access reliable resources.
Global Strings Alliance has also launched a YouTube channel so teachers, students, and parents can save time and find helpful videos quickly. They have sorted and collected over three hundred videos on relevant topics including: How to teach music online, how to use distance learning platforms, music theory, and string technique for violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
On the “Support” page of GSA’s website you can find direct links to their Facebook group, YouTube channel, recommended software for organizing and communication, and enrichment resources (websites and apps) for learning or creating music.
