Vidami has partnered with the Les Paul Foundation and music education nonprofit Little Kids Rock. Dedicated to awarding grants to music programs serving children across America, The Les Paul Foundation donated 50 Vidami Loopers to Little Kids Rock to help teachers streamline their online and in person music classes.
The Vidami allows players to loop, slow down, rewind, fast forward and pause online video players, all with a tap of their foot. This is especially important for students because it allows them to stay focused on the music and keep their hands on the guitar at all times during the learning process. Vidami integrates with a user’s computer via a browser extension and allows them to control online video players, such as YouTube, Vimeo and a host of premium tutorial channels.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Les Paul Foundation and Little Kids Rock,” said Amy Hayashi-Jones, co-founder and CEO of Vidami. “As musicians and educators, we are passionate about helping teachers and students stay motivated and inspired to grow and learn, and we believe the Vidami is a powerful tool to help achieve this.
Since receiving the donated Vidamis in August, the Little Kids Rock instructors said the Vidami has helped them make the learning process easier during a time when online instruction is a must due to COVID-19.
“Little Kids Rock teachers around the country can’t wait to get back into their classrooms once it’s safe to do so and having the Vidami is really helping us during this time of remote learning,” said David Wish, founder and CEO of Little Kids Rock. “That said, it will be a super helpful tool when schools reopen as well.”
“The Vidami has made my classes run very smoothly when it comes to actively participating in making music,” said one Little Kids Rock instructor. “No need to fumble with the computer when I can control everything with my feet.”
