Manhasset Specialty Co. Honored with Advisory Board position by Central Washington University

Central Washington University has selected Dan Roberts, president and general manager of Manhasset Specialty Company for an Advisory Board position in their College of Arts and Humanities for 2019 and 2020.

According to Roberts, “Central Washington University is one of the fastest growing universities in the state. Todd Shiver, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities outlines the mission of his department as, ‘preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century by developing the critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, communication skills, leadership skills, cross-cultural sensitivity and global awareness that a liberal arts education provides.’ And CWU does a tremendous in developing new K-12 educators; 18% of Washington state K-12 educators are CWU graduates, more than any other college in the state.”

Roberts continues, “Central Washington University also has the largest music department in the Pacific Northwest. School bands throughout the northwest are led, with distinction, by CWU alumni. We are honored that Manhasset Stands will have the opportunity to bring a perspective from the business world in our position as an Advisory Board member to the College of Arts and Humanities.” The Central Washington Music Department brochure states, “CWU’s Department of Music has an international reputation for excellence.
