The Cascade Symphony Orchestra (CSO) celebrated the success of its Business Alliance initiative on Sunday with a reception held at Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA). At the event, organized by co-chairs of the CSO Development Committee Jo and Bruce Caldwell, the Cascade Symphony Orchestra Business Alliance Charter Member Plaque was unveiled. Manhasset Stands provided the commemorative music stand plaque.
Those in attendance at CSO performances held at the ECA will have an opportunity to view the music stand-inspired plaque, which will be on display in the lobby. The first opportunity for a public viewing was at the CSO’s Monday, May 9 concert. Details of the plaque unveiling, those in attendance at Sunday’s event and “Give Big” notes from other Edmonds arts organizations will lead this week’s Artfully Edmonds column.”
“Manhasset was very pleased to play a role in developing a special commemorative music stand to be used to honor Charter supporters of the Cascade Symphony Orchestra from the local business community,” according to Dan Roberts, President of Manhasset Specialty Company. Roberts continues, “this orchestra has been comprised of volunteer musicians since its inception nearly 55 years ago, with their goal being to provide fine music to local audiences. Some of the musicians have been performing with the group for well over 40 years! Our country is blessed to have many such orchestras across our land,
providing inspiration to budding young musicians who attend their concerts. All of us at Manhasset are very pleased to play a small role in helping new musicians or established professional musicians with the music stands and accessories that we produce for their use in their practice sessions or performances.”
