It is a strange and trying time for all of us in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We certainly understand times are tough for you, as it is for us. We have been proud to bring School Band & Orchestra for free for more than two decades and we will continue to provide you with free subscriptions during the pandemic. However, we would like your consideration in these difficult times to help support our efforts here at School Band & Orchestra to keep our information flowing and to provide you with a continuous stream of current and vital information when you need it the most.

More than 25 public spaces throughout Chicago will resound with live music of all genres when the free, day-long Make Music Chicago festival returns for a third year on June 21, the first day of summer.
Hundreds of performers of all ages and levels of musical ability, from beginners to professionals, will make music at sites ranging from Daley Plaza, the Lincoln Park Zoo and Midway Plaisance, to the Driehaus Museum, Old Town School of Folk Music and St. James Cathedral in the River North area. The grand finale, followed by an outdoor street party, will take place at the cathedral, 65 E. Huron at Wabash, beginning at 5 p.m.
In New York City, which will be joining in this free musical celebration for the seventh year, public spaces throughout the five boroughs will become transformed into impromptu stages for over 1,000 free concerts.
On the West Coast, Make Music Los Angeles is an 11-hour celebration of musical creativity that will take place on June 21 throughout the entire county of Los Angeles. Many of the city sidewalks, parks, community gardens, street corners and schoolyards will become the backdrop or stage for free concerts.
A world-wide network of over 460 cities in 110 countries will be participating in Make Music events on the same date in this unique celebration of the summer solstice. The concerts are free to the public.
