Educational music software company MusicFirst has announced that it has reached a new milestone of half a million unique paid users.

This figure has risen from 400,000 in August 2018, representing an average of over 3,000 new users per week. This growth has been boosted by additions to the platform’s offerings, including new MusicFirst Library content and software resources. MusicFirst’s popularity is due in large part to its compatibility across devices and operating systems, a feature unique among educational music software titles, as well as its high-quality educational content.

MusicFirst made its market debut in February 2013 in a space dominated by software employing the freemium-subscription model. Despite having never offered a free version of its software, MusicFirst has experienced exponential yearly growth, indicating that educators and school districts value content and resources that prioritize instructional integrity.

“In an environment where educators have so many free options, this milestone is proof that people will pay for quality content, software, and solutions that make their jobs easier,” says Dr. Jim Frankel, director of MusicFirst.

MusicFirst, the digital education division of Music Sales Group, was born from the Wise family’s desire to make a positive impact in the world of digital music education. Dr. James Frankel was brought on board in 2012 to head this initiative, and after sixteen months of development, MusicFirst was launched, introducing to the market the only comprehensive learning management system made specifically for music education.

“With over 500k students on its platform, MusicFirst is now the leading comprehensive learning management system for music educators by a wide margin. It’s a tremendous achievement in a very short period of time, and a credit to the passion, dedication, and hard work of the MusicFirst team,” adds Tomas Wise, CEO of Music Sales Corp.
