Practicing Musician, an online music education company, has launched Practicing Musician’s Big Music Giveaway for K-12 music educators in partnership with KHS America, Eastman Strings, The International Music Education Summit, and Give A Note Foundation.
One band director will win a grand prize of seven brand new band instruments and stands from KHS America, and one orchestra director will win a grand prize of four brand new orchestral string instruments from Eastman Strings.
In addition, every educator who enters the giveaway will receive Practicing Musician Full Access subscriptions for free for all of their students during the 2020-2021 school year.
Practicing Musician is raising awareness about their upcoming development of a learning management system (LMS) that will be available for use for free in K-12 music programs forever.
Every entrant will also be provided the opportunity to suggest and vote on Practicing Musician’s LMS design, feature development and prioritization, and content production and prioritization by joining the private Facebook group Music Educators Supporting Practicing Musician.
All group members will also receive live updates on Practicing Musician’s progress, live tours of the video tutorial recording sessions with Practicing Musician’s world-class teachers and Emmy-award-winning production team, and the chance to be the first to beta-test newly developed features. Your support will play a role in guiding the development of the future of music education.
Practicing Musician’s mission is to create a significant and sustainable funding stream for K-12 music programs by offering world-class music education to everyone, everywhere. They will accomplish this by charging at-home users $9.99/month and donating 100 percent of the gross profit to K-12 music programs. At scale, the model has the potential to raise millions of dollars for K-12 music programs every single year.
