Mike Lawson • News • February 13, 2020

The Richmond Symphony has announced its eclectic lineup of programming for 2020 and 2021.

Highlights of the symphony’s 63rd season include: Beethoven’s 250th Birthday Celebration, the 50th Anniversary of Richmond Symphony Chorus, Richmond Symphony debuts of seven acclaimed guest artists, and a Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) family cultural celebration, featuring the Latin Ballet of Virginia. “Our 2020-21 season truly reflects who we are as an orchestra,” said David Fisk, executive director of the Richmond Symphony. “Not only are we looking back by honoring the contributions of our Richmond Symphony Chorus and of Beethoven—arguably classical music’s most important composer—but we are also looking forward by programming works from today’s most dynamic composers and engaging diverse guest artists.”
