Universal Orlando Youth Programs has revamped its STARS Performance Program workshop, Sound Design: Music and the Art of Foley.
Band, choir or orchestra students can now sync music or choral arrangements and create sound effects and voiceovers to movies that inspired attractions featured at Universal Orlando. Hits like Illumination Entertainment’s “Despicable Me” and “The Lorax” will make the experience even more relevant and valuable to students.
Sound Design: Music and the Art of Foley is an energetic workshop that gives students the chance to experience a day in the life of a working movie musician. The workshop is endorsed by the National Association for Music Education, one of the world’s largest arts education organizations and the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. Designed to align with the National Core Arts Standards, Universal Orlando partnered with Robert W. Smith, a consummate music educator and one of today’s most popular composers, to produce the stimulating workshop.
