Juilliard presents cellist Jay Campbell at Weill Recital Hall on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at 7:30pm as the winner of Juilliard's 4th annual Leo B. Ruiz Memorial Recital. The program features Elliott Carter's Figment I for cello alone (1994); David Fulmer's Original Wood (2015) with Juilliard alumnus, pianist Conor Hanick; the world premiere of Jason Eckardt's Practical Alchemy (2015); Matthias Pintscher's Janusgesicht (2001) with Juilliard alumnus, violist David Fulmer; and Charles Wuorinen's Orbicle of Jasp (1999) with pianist Conor Hanick. Mr. Campbell is currently in the Artist Diploma program at Juilliard where he studies with cellist Fred Sherry.
