Designated as a ‘Center of Focus’ by the University, the TCU School of Music offers students a wealth of diverse and professional musical experiences while providing challenging academic opportunities in a liberal arts environment. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, the school provides professional training for performers, teachers, scholars, and composers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, recitals, concerts, masterclasses, and workshops by visiting faculty and guest artists enrich the regular curricular offerings.
TCU’s award-winning ensembles in the choral, orchestral, symphonic winds, percussion, and jazz areas combined with opera, chamber music and marching band enrich the students’ experience and contribute over 200 performances annually to Fort Worth’s vibrant cultural climate. TCU’s distinguished, renowned faculty are leaders in the fields of performance, music education, scholarly pursuit, and conducting. These 75 faculty members are dedicated to providing the very best music education for their students, many who come from across the world to pursue their degrees at TCU.
TCU music alums are active in all musical disciplines, enjoying successful careers as performers, educators, scholars, and composers. Scholarship support is available for eligible undergraduate and graduate music majors as well as for non-majors interested in participating in TCU’s ensembles.
